When I first arrived in Punta del Este

I thought about renting a scooter instead of a car . It was cheaper in price as well as gas. However, once I decided to look at lots of Uruguay attractions, I soon realized I would need to rent a car.

I rented a car in Uruguay for about 9 days in total. It cost me about 50 a day with unlimited mileage. The owner was working and told me about several tourist attractions in Uruguay and pointed out the closest Uruguay attractions as well as Uruguay activites that were all within a short drive from Punta del Este.

The car was a newer vehicle, clean and ran well. The owner spoke good english and was friendly, curtious and helpful in planning a few days of sightseeing in Uruguay.

This car rental company also rented bikes and scooters by the hour or by the day. Enriques shop is five minutes from downtown Punta del Este. Close to several Uruguay attractions and activities.

If you dont rent a car you can always hire a tour company in Uruguay to show you all the Uruguay attractions and activities.

I also relied on a tour company to show me around some of the cities of Uruguay and tell me about the history. I think it was definately worth the reasonable price to go on a Uruguay Tour with Novo Tourismo in Punta del Este.
